Snowballs 1860'-1880's

Such a fun quilt, very happy.  A note was pinned to the quilt at auction:  Made by Thankfull Smith Avery, who was born in 1814 and died in 1885.  Two tiny print fabrics arfe used for the snowballs and the background.  Hand quilting in circles inside snowballs.  Backing is a vibranbt brown and red floral.  Condition good, with a few stains on the front.  87" by 76"
